| | The to do list is a little shorter.... Spent last week on the taxes and, Woo Hoo, we're getting money back. Now back to the list of things to do on the house. Tracey wants grass. Ha! That's way down on the list. Before that is fixing the $600 car. It blew the head gasket last fall and I should soon have the area and time to take care of that. I need to get it fixed cause I hate putting the miles on the Jeep not to mention the 'ole Jeep tends to drink a little faster than I want. I've been riding the bike. At 45+ mpg, its worth it. Unfortunately, its been in the 40's in the mornings and my legs are a little stiff by the time I get to work, Tracey suggested I wear snow pants but that gave me a flash back to high school when mom wanted me to wear something that wasn't 'cool'. I'd rather freeze than walk into work looking like the Michelin man. Not to mention, I'd have to strap them to my back for the 70 degree ride home. I do like riding the bike. You definitely get a very different experience on the road. On those cold still mornings, I'm amazed at the temperature difference between the hills and valleys. And, man, drive by the Krispy Kreme and the helmets' immediately filled with the smell of those glazed wonders. Also, I noticed I'm a little more offended by bad drivers while on the bike. Okay, cut in between me and the next car and big deal if I'm in the Jeep. Okay, worse case we might exchange paint samples, but nobody has to worry about falling over! I think that's a major part about riding...watching out for other people and what they might do. Do they see me? Will they stop? By comparison, in the Jeep, I'm usually thinking about my 'to do' list. I drove the Jeep today...what's on the list for tonight??? |
